The parade will begin at the corner of Fairholme Drive and 15th Street at 12 Noon, turning left onto Main Street and finishing at the corner of Main Street (8th Street) and Railway Ave. From there, the Parade will disband and return via Railway Ave, 10th St and 7th Ave to the original staging area at the Canmore Recreation Centre, and the Marching Bands will make their way to the festivities at Centennial Park.
PARTICIPATING IN THE PARADE Every year on July 1st the Town of Canmore organizes the Canmore Canada Day Parade. Decorative Floats and Costumes from community members are encouraged to enhance this popular event viewed by thousands! To participate in the Canada Day Parade all participants must download this PARTICIPANT ENTRY PACKAGE which includes Information for participants, Rules and Regulations, the Parade Waiver and under 18 Consent Form and a Marshaling Map. Please read the Package carefully, then fill in the PARADE WAIVER (One per Group) and fax back to 403-609-8271, mail or drop off at the Town of Canmore Arts & Culture office in the Canmore Civic Centre (902 7th avenue, Canmore, AB, T1W 3K1) or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Please Note: ALL Participants must sign the Waiver. ALL PARENTS of Children under 18 must sign the Informed Consent Form in their group entry PRIOR to Parade Day.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS for Canada Day 2012 8am - 10am Rotary Pancake Breakfast Centennial Park - Help Canmore Rotary support the community with your donations! Bring your own plate and cutlery to reduce your impact on the environment. 9am - 11am Canada Day Fun Run Hosted by the Nordic Ski Club, the run begins at Centennial Park and loops through town using Canmore's trail system. Choice of 8km & 3km Run. Finish back at Centennial Park with some pancakes! 12 noon CANADA DAY PARADE The Parade begins at the corner of Fairholme Drive and 15th Street. Continuing down Fairholme Drive, the Parade turns left onto Main Street and finishes at the corner of Railway Ave and Main St. Come pull up a chair or stand and enjoy watching the celebration. 1pm - 5pm Centennial Park Festivities Featuring music on the Stan Rogers Stage, Family activities and Marching Band in field show. 10.30pm Canada Day FIREWORKS Finish the day off with a Bang with the fireworks at Millenium Park.
