Canada Day Parade
Every year on July 1st the Town of Canmore organizes the Canmore Canada Day Parade. The parade starts at Main St. (8th street) and Railway Avenue. To participate in the Canada Day Parade all participants must fill out a parade waiver and fax back to 403-609-8271 or email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ***Railway Avenue will be closed from 10am - 2pm on July 1st for the parade and access to the downtown core will be restricted ***
Other Canada Day Events (organized by the Canmore Canada Day Committee) 2009 schedule 8am - 10am Rotary Pancake Breakfast - Get the day started right with some tasty pancakes at Centennial Park! B.Y.O.P.&C. - Help reduce your impact on the environment and bring your own plates and cutlery! 9am Family Fun Run begins - 3km & 8km Family Fun Run & Kid's Obstacle Course (5 years and under). Centennial Park. Register online at www.zone4.ca or in person at Ultimate Fit Centre Running Store, 1302 Bow Valley Trail. Visit www.canmorenordic.com for more information. 1pm - 2pm Mass Band Field Presentation - Come feel the music at Centennial Park! 1:30pm Children's Games & Petting Zoo - Lots of fun games for the kids at Centennial Park! 2pm -5pm Stan Rogers Stage Opens - Live, local entertainment for the whole family! 10:30pm-Dusk Canada Day Fireworks - Finishe the day off with a BANG with fireworks at Millenium Park!
