Recycling in Canmore just got a whole lot easier......

 

The Town of Canmore is introducing a new neighbourhood blue bin system, designed to make your life and your recycling a whole lot easier. The new bins will be in every neighbourhood by the summer of 2013. The new program requires households to seperate recyclables into 3 easy categories:

 
  • Mixed Paper
  • Plastic & Metal
  • Glass

Until this new program has been rolled out to every corner in Town we still provide the services at the
Location #1:
Boulder Depot: located at 115 Boulder Crescent in the Elk Run Industrial Park, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This depot accepts the following items:  (Click here for Descriptions)

  • Metal Food Cans
  • Glass
  • Corrugated Cardboard & Box-board
  • Mixed Paper
  • Newsprint and Magazines 
  • Plastics
  • Milk Jugs/Cartons - are accepted at the Bottle Depot, (please clean and crush them)
  • eWaste
  • Automotive batteries
  • Rechargeable and Non Rechargable batteries
  • Used oil and glycol (antifreeze) products and containers
  • Bicycle tires (No inner tubes)
  • Flourescent Light Tubes and Ballast
  • Leaf/Yard, Scrub/Brush and Christmas Trees (Seasonal only, please vist Special Programs)

    Sobeys Depot: located at Sobeys Canmore Crossing, #2 950 Railway Avenue, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  (Click here for Descriptions)

    two recycling depot locations, plus a Community Recycling Trailer, for both convenience and easy access to serve your needs.
