Rundle Crescent Ice Surface
The Rundle Crescent Ice Surface is located on the Municipal Reserve off of Rundle Crescent. The surface is approximately 30m X 15m. The ice surface is appropriate for toddlers and young children. No sticks or pucks allowed.

This ice surface will be monitored daily and flooded as ice conditions dictate.

Peaks Park Ice Surface
The Peaks Park Ice Surface is on the Municipal Reserve off of Lawrence Grassi Ridge & Wilson Way. The surface is approximately 15m in diameter. The ice surface is appropriate for toddlers and young children. No sticks and pucks are allowed. Roadside parking only.

This ice surface will be monitored daily and flooded as ice conditions dictate

Cougar Creek Rink
The Cougar Creek Hockey Rink location is on the corner of Elk Run Blvd and Canyon Road. The surface is approximately 20m X 35m. This rink is maintained by the Town of Canmore Parks Department. Ice maintenance occurs daily with ice building and patch filling when necessary and flooding with the resurfacer 3-5 times per week (weather dependant).It is appropriate for all age groups allowing sticks and pucks. Parking is available across Cougar Creek at the trail head parking area.

  • Lights for night use until 10pm
  • Portable toilet located on site

Canmore Day Care Rink
Adjacent to the Canmore Community Day Care Park (1200 17th Street) is an outdoor skating rink and a separate skating surface. The surface is approximately 25m X 50m. This rink is maintained by the Town of Canmore Parks Department. Ice maintenance occurs daily with ice building and patch filling when necessary and flooding with the resurfacer 3-5 times per week (weather dependant). It is appropriate for all age groups allowing sticks and pucks.

  • Skating / hockey rink with boards and nets
  • Small skating surface adjacent to rink (10m diameter)
  • Lights for night use until 10pm
  • Playground ages 2-5 and 5-12 accessible evenings and weekends (after Daycare hours)
  • Daycare parking lot adjacent to ice surfaces
 
The Pond
The Canmore Skating Pond is located on 7th Avenue at Mallard Alley (just two blocks from Main Street). The surface is approximately 150m X 60m. The Pond is the site for several Town winter special events (Skate with Santa, New years on the Pond, Kid & Mutt Races, Ice Carving). The pond is appropriate for all age groups and is ideal for families. No sticks or pucks are allowed.

This surface is the number one priority for the Parks Dept. maintenance program. Ice maintenance occurs daily with ice building and patch filling when necessary and flooding with the resurfacer 3-5 times per week (weather dependant).

  • Open style gazebo with benches, sign board and thermal heating, the Surface is approximately 60m x 60m
