What is Happening

We are making it easier for people to get around our community by making improvements to key pathways to allow cyclists and pedestrians to travel safely.

We are kicking off construction for major upgrades to pathways and water, sewer, and stormwater systems on Bow Valley Trail and into Teepee Town.

The scope of work includes replacement of underground utilities, extending separated cycle and pedestrian pathways, new bus stops to service the future Grassi Lakes transit route, and significant improvements to Bow Valley Trail crosswalks.

What You Need to Know

  • Construction starts this March, and we anticipate work to wrap up in August.
  • We will maintain two lanes of traffic throughout the project lifespan with short periods of alternating traffic, if necessary.
  • Give yourself extra time to travel through the area during construction.
  • Follow posted signage and detours to travel safely through the area and please drive with care for the safety of workers and pedestrians in the area.
  • Work is expected to continue into the Fall.  Landscaping work will be substantially completed in 2025.
