Climbing Gym Hours
Monday to Friday 9 am to 9 pm
Saturday Sunday 9 am to 9 pm
Access to the Climbing Area is limited to 2-hour time slots.
All patrons must check-in at the Customer Experience desk upon arrival. Payment for drop-in sessions will occur then. There is no fee for patrons with active memberships.
All climbers must fill out a waiver or acknowledgement of risk before their first scheduled time slot. See the link below, or visit canmore.ca/waiver
In order to ensure a safe and positive experience with us, please note the following:Please arrive dressed and ready to climb. There is no access to change rooms and there is limited space for your personal items. To help limit irritants that may increase coughing or sneezing, please consider using the liquid chalk we provide so that you can leave your powdered chalk at home. When climbing, avoid using the adjacent ropes/auto belay to those near you. While anyone is able to book appointments on Tuesdays and Thursday from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., we are reducing capacity even further during this time to accommodate vulnerable patrons, such as seniors, those with disabilities, and persons with compromised immune systems.
The following Climbing patrons will wear masks, according to the Canmore Mandatory Mask Bylaw (2020-20):
· Supervising adults
· Patrons waiting for their turn in a belay team or on Automatic Belay Systems
· Patrons on a rest break
· Patrons on orientations or belay tests
The bylaw does not require masks during physical exertion. Patrons may still choose to wear masks when:
· Climbing on ropes, Automatic Belay Systems or bouldering
· Taking brief rests between boulder routes, Automatic Belay System routes (still connected), or in the training area.
As per the bylaw, kids on Town of Canmore day programs will not be wearing masks. They will be in a reserved area and won’t be in contact with the public.
Masks will be available for purchase for $1 at the Customer Experience Desk.
