Town of Canmore

Fire Advisory in Effect

July 17, 2018 A Fire Advisory has been issued for the Town of Canmore due to increasingly dry conditions.

All fire permits are cancelled and no new fire permits will be issued until further notice.

Allowed: safe wood campfires (within fire rings) in backyards and campgrounds, charcoal briquettes, portable propane fire pits, gas or propane stoves and barbecues, and catalytic or infrared-style heaters.

The Fire Advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve.

Never leave a campfire unattended. Soak it, stir it and soak it again until cool to the touch to ensure it is extinguished. If you see a wildfire, report it immediately by calling 310-FIRE.
