Town of Canmore

Land Use Bylaw Amendment - IND 2 - Office Above Ground Floor

What is Happening?

The Town of Canmore has received an application to amend the Land Use Bylaw - General Industrial (IND 2) District. The proposed amendment is to allow ‘Office (above the ground floor)’ be considered as a Discretionary Use on all IND 2 designated (zoned) properties. Currently, the IND 2 District limits the consideration of offices (above the ground floor) to properties located east of Elk Run Boulevard only. The proposed amendment is to remove this limitation and allow this use to be considered on all IND 2 properties, including those located west of Elk Run Boulevard. The map included above shows all properties currently designated IND 2 District.

The General Industrial (IND 2) District can be accessed on page 182 of the Town of Canmore Land Use Bylaw

A red-lined copy of the IND-2 District is available for review pdf here (138 KB) .
