The Banff and Canmore RCMP have partnered with Bike Index in an attempt to deter bike theft from the moment you purchase your bicycle.

Ride your bike to Arts Place on Sunday, September 17 at 6:30pm for the “Community Cruisers” Bike Shorts Film Festival and while there register your bike on the Bike Index. RCMP and Municipal Enforcement officers will be on site to help you register. 

Bike Index is a web-based platform where you can register your bike with a smartphone or desktop computer. It’s a free bicycle registry and with over 800 partner organizations, almost a quarter of a million registrations, and over $8 million in stolen bicycle recoveries, they take the guesswork out of registration.
