In 2024, you will see an increase to both the municipal portion and the provincial education tax (referenced as school support on the above chart) on your property tax bill. The municipal portion represents a status quo level of services and programs being offered to the community. The trend of increasing inflation, higher borrowing costs and decreased funding from all levels of government have continued. Simply put, the cost of delivering the same level of service continues to increase.
