Construction has started on the Old Daycare Lands site. When complete 49 units of PAH housing will be added to the market, consisting of a mix of townhouses, stacked townhouses and duplexes. The successful design will include: 6 two-bedroom units at 980 square feet; 6 two-bedroom units at 1114 square feet; with the balance of the units being three bedroom and ranging in size from 1303 to 1440 square feet.

1. What is happening with the hockey rink on the site this year?
The hockey rink at the Old Daycare Lands will be open for use this winter. The access to the rink may be slightly different (TBD), but the rink will be operational.
2. What are the plans for the rink in future years?
This is a 2018 capital project that has not been started yet. Once the project starts in early 2018 there will be an engagement process that will help inform the design of the site. The project includes the relocation of the rink as well as other amenities such as the addition of vault washrooms, multi-use trails and signage on site.
