Lions Park - Provides venues for a wide range of activities including: baseball, T-ball, soccer, rugby, football, ultimate frisbee, tennis, children’s activities and picnics. This park is home to a large playground with two play structures. Originally an adopt-a-
park project developed by the Canmore Lions Club, the park includes Lions Field, Ball Diamond and Tennis Courts. This park also includes public washrooms located on-site.
Quarry Lake Park - Quarry Lake Park is one of Canmore’s favourite outdoor recreational areas. Located along Spray Lakes Road on the south side of the Bow Valley it has spectacular views of Ha Ling Peak, Mount Lady MacDonald, and the Rundle Range. Reclaimed from an old mining area Quarry Lake is one of Canmore’s many environmental success stories. The lake is over 100 metres deep in some areas and fed by an underground mountain spring making it only suitable for swimming in the summer months. The area connects to extensive trails in the area for walking, biking, and cross-country skiing.
- The lake is suitable for swimming in the summer months. It is unsupervised, swim at your own risk.
- A lifejacket loaner station is available on site.
- There is an Off Leash Dog Park on site.
- Dogs are not allowed at the lake.

- Campfires and charcoal BBQ's are not permitted. Gas stoves are permitted.
- Garbage and recycling is available on site. Please clean up after yourself.

Riverside Park - Riverside Park offers outstanding views of the Bow River, the Rundle Range, Ha Ling Peak, and the Three Sisters. A favourite among couples looking to get married outdoors, the park is also a popular location for picnics, family gatherings and even the odd yoga class. The park is close to downtown and the amenities offered on 8 street. Canmore’s river path system goes beside Riverside Park and connects with other green spaces in town including Millennium Park and Lions Park. Riverside Park is also a popular location for weddings.
Millennium Park - Millennium Park is Canmore’s premier outdoor venue for team sports. The Park includes Millennium Field and Millennium Diamond. As the newest park in Canmore, Millennium offers what many believe is the most scenic venue for baseball, football, soccer rugby, and ultimate frisbee anywhere in Canada. This park also includes public washrooms on-site.
Centennial Park - Centennial Park is one of Canmore’s most loved venues for outdoor events. Long time home of the Canada Day Celebrations, Canmore Folk Festival, and Canmore Highland Games. These high-profile events draw thousands of visitors to Canmore and the area in and around Centennial Park throughout the year. The Park includes the Centennial Field and the Stan Rogers Stage and one of Canmore’s largest playgrounds available for rent separately or together. This park also includes public washrooms on-site.
Stan Rogers Stage - This mountain-inspired wooden stage was named after renowned Canadian singer-songwriter Stan Rogers who passed away at the age of 33 in 1983. The Stan Rogers Stage is Canmore’s only outdoor stage. It plays host to some of the largest events in town including the Canmore Folk Festival, Alberta’s longest-running folk music festival.
Surrounding the stage is a small park graced with mature evergreens. The area is ideal for picnics and small gatherings. The Parkette can be rented on its own or combined with the Stan Rogers Stage or Centennial Field.
The Stage can be rented year-round from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. Please Note: Stage Access is limited to renters only

Playgrounds
There are 33 playgrounds in Canmore for children aged 18 months to 12 years.
Fields
Recreation Centre Field - The Recreation Centre Field is available for rent for various activities including soccer, ultimate frisbee, football and rugby. The field also serves as the outdoor phys-ed facility for the Canmore Collegiate High School.
Lions Park Field & Ball Diamond - Located in Lion's Park, the field has a little league diamond located in the south-west corner and can accommodate a wider variety of activities including baseball, tee-ball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, football, and rugby. As Canmore’s most popular and centralized regulation size sport field, Centennial is an excellent venue close to downtown for high-profile competitive tournaments and league play as well as adult and youth practices.
Elk Run Ball Diamond - Elk Run Ball Diamonds is a favourite among organizers of larger baseball tournaments in Canmore. This multi-diamond venue was designed specifically to allow for tournaments where up to three games can be played at once. Elk Run Ball Diamond Complex is located off of Sandstone Terrace in the Elk Run area of Canmore.
Elizabeth Rummel Field - Elizabeth Rummel Field is available for rent for various activities including soccer, ultimate frisbee, football, and rugby. The field also serves as the playground area for Kindergarten – Grade 4 classes at Elizabeth Rummel Elementary School. Together with Eagle Terrace Field a few blocks away, Elizabeth Rummel is a primary venue for minor league soccer and serves residents in East Canmore.
Eagle Terrace Field - Eagle Terrace Field is available for rent for various activities including soccer, ultimate frisbee, football, and rugby. Eagle Terrace is ideally situated high on the east side of the valley with beautiful views of Three Sisters and Ha-Ling. Together with Elizabeth Rummel Field a few blocks away, Eagle Terrace is a primary venue for minor league soccer and serves residents in East Canmore.
Centennial Field - Centennial Field is available for rent for various activities including soccer, ultimate frisbee, football and rugby. As Canmore’s most centralized sport field, Centennial is an excellent venue close to downtown for youth practices, league play, and competitive tournaments.
Millennium Ball Diamond - Millennium Ball Diamond is Canmore’s premier regulation-size baseball diamond, Millennium is the perfect venue for competitive tournaments and league play as well as adult and youth practices.
Millennium Field - Millennium Park is Canmore’s premier outdoor venue for team sports. The Park includes Millennium Field and Millennium Diamond. As the newest park in Canmore, Millennium offers what many believe is the most scenic venue for baseball, football, soccer rugby, and ultimate frisbee anywhere in Canada.

*A decision to play or not will be left to the discretion of the user group coaches. The user group will be entirely responsible for all damages to all fields adversely affected by their decision. Discretion empowers the user to make a common-sense decision on whether or not to cancel an event on their booked field. We ask that if there is any standing water on the field, or if sports play will cause turf damage, or if play is unsafe due to snow or uneven ground due to frost / frozen ground, postpone and re-schedule your event. If damage occurs as a result of a user decision to play, the user will be held responsible for all repair costs and may also have their booking privileges revoked. Please notify Bookings the next working day if you have cancelled and your booking will be credited or refunded.
