Town of Canmore Recreation Fee Assistance

Canmore residents who receive AISH, Income Support, Alberta Health Benefits Support or have an income below the Low Income Cut-offs (LICO) plus 20% are eligible. Qualifying residents receive $250 per year for each adult and $350 per year for each child to use towards programs or membership that best meets their needs. The amount applied to any program or membership may not exceed 75% of the total program/membership fee.

Town of Canmore Campership Program

The Campership Program helps remove financial barriers that prevent local families from registering their children in Town camp programs by subsidizing their registration fees, up to a maximum o f $200 per child per year. Canmore families who receive AISH, Income Support, Alberta Health Benefits Support or have an income below the Low Income Cut-off (LICO) plus 20% are eligible.  Camperships are for children and youth under the age of 18 years.  This financial assistance is made available through the generous support of local community service organizations, businesses, the Canmore Rotary Club and the Town of Canmore.

Elevation Place Senior+ Membership

Canmore seniors over the age of 80 enjoy a complimentary membership at Elevation Place.  Must have proof of age and residency.  Visit an agent at the Customer Experience Desk to be registered.

KidSport Bow Valley: So ALL kids Can Play!

Kidsport believes that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSport provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevents them from playing organized sport.  Low income families are eligible to access up to $500 per child per calendar year for registration fees in organized sport programs for their children 18 years old and under.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart

A national charitable program that helps financially challenged families get their kids ages 4 - 18 years old involved in organized sport and recreation.  Funds help to cover registration, equipment and/or transportation costs up to $300 per child/session.
