June is Parks and Recreation Month!

To celebrate the spirit of play and to encourage residents to get out and enjoy our municipal facilities, we are launching a capsule of low-to-no cost programs throughout the month of June These programs have limited spots available on a first-come-first-served basis. Check the Elevation Place Schedule to browse programs now!

  • Intro to Climbing Movement (June 1, 11:00-12:00 p.m. and June 17, 12:00-1:00 p.m.)ump for June! (June 3, 1:15-2 p.m.)
  • Aqua Tabata (June 7, 11:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m.)
  • Experience Climbing (June 9, 6:00-7:00 pm and June 23, 4:00-5:00 p.m.)
  • Begin to Spin (June 9, 6-6:45 p.m.)
  • Mid-week Stretch (June 15, 7-7:45 p.m.)
  • ViPR ®(June 21, 5:30-6:15 p.m.)
  • Wibit Inflatable Obstacle Course (June 18 and 19 1:00-6:00 p.m. - Included in public swim admission)
  • Toonie Tuesdays - $2 admission to Public Swim at Elevation Place
  • Free Skate Sessions at Canmore Recreation Centre (June 8: Adult Coed Shinny (full equipment required) from 12-1:15 p.m, June 11: Sticks and Pucks with Parents from 10-11 a.m., Youth Shinny (full equipment required) 12:30-1:45 p.m. and Public Skate Drop-In (no sticks/pucks or figure skating jumps) from 2:30-3:45 p.m.

Child, Youth, and Family Programs

Child and family-focused opportunities include early-development programs offered by the Family Resource Network, summer camps, and youth workshops.

The Town of Canmore is located within Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.
