Town of Canmore

Council Clips - October 9, 2018

Fare Free Transit Trial

To help address traffic congestion and parking this past summer, and as part of integrated parking management, Council approved a pilot project to provide fare free-transit on the Canmore local service for summer 2018. The pilot demonstrated that ridership increases of 50% can be expected when service is provided fare-free. Administration will be bringing recommendations for next steps forward as part of the budget process.
