Sensory-Friendly Toys Together is a drop-in child development designed specifically for caregivers and children ages 0 – 6 who can benefit from a low sensory environment.

Lights will be dimmed and sensory toys such as fidgets and headphones will be provided. This is an open space to play, explore, and socialize with others. This day is an important opportunity to reflect on the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, honour Survivors, and commit to meaningful paths of reconciliation.

Canmore Public Library's Preschool Storytime is partnering with Loose Parts Playtime for some special sessions this fall! 

Drop-in with your children ages 3-6 for stories and exploration with a variety of loose parts.

Loose parts play is all about using open-ended materials that can be moved, combined, and transformed in countless ways. From sticks and stones to fabrics and cardboard tubes, these materials inspire children to invent, experiment, and innovate without limits. Our program is designed to foster creativity, imagination, problem-solving skills, and social interaction through hands-on exploration with a variety of materials. 

Program Dates: Fridays, Oct. 24, Nov. 7, Nov. 21, and Dec. 5 from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Sensory-Friendly Toys Together is a drop-in child development designed specifically for caregivers and children ages 0 – 6 who can benefit from a low sensory environment.
