Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend to celebrate the grand opening of the West Bow River Pathway!
It was truly inspiring to see our community come together, with participants ranging from 2 to 96 years old, enjoying the pathway on scooters, bicycles, on foot, and with mobility devices.
Mayor Krausert captured the spirit of the day:
"Our pathways belong to everyone: parents with children, teenagers on skateboards, seniors in our Cycling Without Age program, and those using mobility devices. That’s why we reduced the pathway’s grade, widened the path and crossings, and paved the gravel surface. I am proud to say that the West Bow River Pathway is now accessible from Three Sisters to downtown, so it can be enjoyed by all, no matter how you get around. Paving the path also means that we can clear snow in the winter to maintain this vital multi-use connector year-round."
