Housing Action - Moustache Lands Update
Committee of the Whole was provided with an update on future development possibilities on the Moustache Lands in the Palliser area. The Province intends to give the Town of Canmore the Moustache Lands for future affordable housing. As part of the agreement, work on the site must be started before the end of March 2026. We are working on a feasibility study for the site, which will show what might be possible to build. The site could fit up to six buildings, with up to 330 units and commercial space. Stay tuned for more information on this project as work progresses.

Assessment Review Board Membership Options
The Assessment Review Board (ARB) currently consists of two public members and two members of Council. Today, the Committee of the Whole heard about options for appointing more members to the ARB, and directed administration to re-advertise ARB public member vacancies and bring a report to Council requesting the appointment of interested Banff and M.D. of Bighorn ARB public members as well as other applicants from the three municipalities to the Canmore ARB.
