Housing Action Updates

1. Removing Tourist Homes in Various Land Use Districts
   After hearing from the public on the topic, council moved forward with removing Tourist Homes as a use from a number of land use districts. Existing Tourist Homes will still be able to operate as a non-confirming use.
2. 100 Palliser Lane Loan
   Council gave second and third readings to Canmore Community Housing (CCH) 100 Palliser Lane Loan Bylaw 2025-07. The loan of $12 million is needed for CCH to secure the construction financing from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the loan will be repaid once construction is complete. 100 Palliser Lane will add 144 rental units to CCH's housing stock for the community.
