Extreme Weather Response Plan

Committee of the Whole heard an update on the new extreme weather response plan. This response plan outlines how the municipality will work with community agencies to provide an appropriate emergency response to address the needs of those experiencing homelessness during an extreme weather emergency. Affordable Services Program Update

In 2023, revisions were made to the program by expanding eligible income thresholds, income levels that reflect the number of individuals in a family were added, and businesses/community organizations were invited to provide benefits for Affordable Services Program participants. Early data suggests that the program revisions have positively impacted community livability for program participants.
