Connect Downtown - What We Heard
Council received an update on the Connect Downtown project, including a summary of the key findings from the second phase of public engagement this summer. This process was one step in the journey to create a new Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) for the Town Centre and served to ensure administration was on the right track before moving forward with a draft plan.
The community was presented with the full range of potential ideas and concepts under consideration for the Downtown's future. Over 2,400 residents, community groups, and businesses participated, with 1,759 filling out the online survey. We compiled the feedback into a comprehensive "What We Heard Report".
Using this input, administration will develop a draft plan that will be presented to the community for further feedback in early 2025. Read the full report at Connect Downtown: Planning a Vibrant Town Centre | MyCanmore
