Large Item Pickup

The Town of Canmore offers a Large Item Clean Up Program for residential addresses. The service is offered Monday to Friday except for statutory holidays.

Residents wishing to participate in the Large Item Clean Up must call 403.678.1580 to register their address & waste materials. Registration will be available from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Please ensure acceptable items are placed at the end of your driveway or back lane by 8am on your assigned pick up date. Ensure all items are contained / bundled in a tidy pile. For safety reasons please ensure refrigerator and freezer doors/lids are completely removed. The program allots two pick ups per residence per year, with a maximum of 6 items per pick up.

Mattresses and box springs will only be picked up on Mondays. All other items are picked up Tuesday-Friday (not including Holidays)

Acceptable Items: Old furniture, white goods i.e. stove & dryer, fridge (door removed on fridge), mattresses etc.

Unacceptable Items: Tires, propane tanks, commercial waste, construction, renovation & demolition waste, hazardous waste, automotive parts & automotive batteries, recyclables.

*Please note that leaving items out more than 24hours in advance of your pick up date, or near a garbage bin can result in a $250.00 fine in accordance with the Bylaw 2016-11
