The Town of Canmore is pleased to offer live webstreaming of Council meetings. Check the schedule of upcoming council meetings to see when the next webcast will be available.
If you tune in for an advertised council meeting and the webcast is not playing, it's possible the meeting has ended or that the meeting has gone in camera. Please check the meeting agenda for the estimated timing of agenda items and meeting adjournment.
If you have any questions about the streaming or recording of council meetings, contact the municipal clerk at municipal.clerk@canmore.ca

Public hearings and other special meetings
Public Hearings are advertised in the Rocky Mountain Outlook and on this site for at least two weeks prior to the hearing. Other special meetings are advertised on this site, and, if time permits, in the Rocky Mountain Outlook.
Public attendance at council meetings
Council meetings are held in person at the Canmore Civic Centre and are open to the public. Meetings also livestreamed through our Live Webcast.
Occasionally, all or a portion of a council meeting may be closed to the public to prevent disclosure of information protected by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. This is known as "in camera." Whenever possible, in camera items are identified in the meeting agenda package published prior to the meeting. When Council goes in camera, any members of the public present in the Council Chamber must leave the room and the livestream is suspended. In camera sessions are typically the last item on a council agenda, and when the motion is made to close the meeting to the public the mayor will announce whether or not the live stream will restart. Please email municipal.clerk@canmore.ca if you have any questions.
Agenda packages are posted on Thursdays prior to meetings. To receive a notification when agenda packages are posted, follow the Town of Canmore on Facebook.
Meeting minutes are posted after they are approved by council, usually at the next regular meeting. You may view unapproved minutes by contacting the municipal clerk at municipal.clerk@canmore.ca.
Video recordings of council meetings are available at the links below. You can also find them directly on the Town of Canmore's YouTube page.
